Douglas - this fellow is certainly eligible for the Darwin Award!

Today´s been the hottest day of the year in my neck of the woods, with temperatures exceedeing significantly the 30°C mark. Daytime high at 18.00 hrs was 34°C, that´s 93F! Way too high for me! It´s above 80F inside, which makes me feel funny in my head and "queasy" in my stomach!

We were under a thunderstorm warning with lots of lightning and hail, but that must have passed us by! No chance for getting much cooler at night and no aircon - [sigh]

I have been having this crazy idea in my head - with the Gotthard line being an endangered species, wouldn´t it be nice to have a model of a really tiny stretch of it. There is a part of the line which is so typically Swiss - out of a tunnel, over a bridge into a tunnel, with the two ends connected with a "large" hidden staging facility holding maybe 6 - 8 trains. A railfan´s dream!

When I grow up and get rich, this will be the second layout I´ll be building!
