Jan [/quote] Jan - it looks like the Imperial Japanese Flag, but it wasn´t that - just some sort of patriotic Swiss decoration, I assume. Here is a picture of the same inaugural train: <img src="http://files.newsnetz.ch/story/1/4/9/14944901/3/topelement.jpg" alt=" " /> ... and another one: <img src="http://www.query.sta.be.ch/getimage.aspx?VEID=552995&DEID=10&SQNZNR=1&SIZE=100" alt=" " /> If my eyes don´t deceive me, there is the Swiss Cross (in red) in some of those flags, as well as the coat of arms of the Cantons Berne and Valais.
