You need freshly picked apples for it and you don´t want to heat up the oven when is steaming hot outside. Actually, making a good apple strudel has turned into a challenge these days, as the good old kind of apples my grandma used for making it is no longer available. The new kind lacks the "tang" you need to get that particular taste. Ray - thanks for making that big one for me [dinner]
