Good Afternoon!

I was disconnected from the Internet for nearly two days, after the heavy downpours we had flooded the hub we are linked up to. There is an advantage of having all communication lines nicely buried in the ground vs. having them dangling from some whimsical post in mid-air, but when it comes to antediluvian rainfall, this can be a bad trap. It took the service crew 30 hours to get everything working again.

Being such a long time without any link to the outside world can give one the creeps. We don´t have a mobile phone (too expensive) so we had no means to call 1-10 (that´s our 9-11) in case of an emergency.

Now that I am back again - Zoe, coffee and some cake would just be fine, thank you!

Edit: I treated myself to some old Marklin tin-plate track to run my old boxcab electric on. I bought it off the "Bay" for surprisingly little money, unused, in the original box - much cheaper than regular HO scale track! Should be with me by the middle of next week!
