Afternoon, Folks!

Our weather is back to the typical - wet & windy. The snow is gone by now and our surroundings look as grey as ever at this time of the year.

I had one of those "duh" - moments today. Petra told me that our car needs a refill so I took it to our gas station, where I hadn´t been since September/October? I was surprised to see how low the gas prices are - about $ 5.30 a gallon - down by over $ 3 since the alltime high not so long ago! Got about 55mpg, which is not bad for a regular IC car capable of doing over 100mph!

If things develop as they look right now, this will be the last filling we can afford.

Gosh, I am amazed how the cost for car insurance is. Mine is about $ 150 a year, plus $ 30 road tax. That´s about as cheap as one can get over here.

Enough of that, back to MRRing.

I still have leftover WS Fine Turf which I use as basis for my scenery. WS products are hard to come by - there is only one source in Germany, but they do not stock all WS products. I need WS yellow Fine Turf, light green and olive coarse turf, underbrush in various shades og green and WS Scenic Cement. While the turf stuff will eventually be available here, the Scenic Cement isn´t. I was thinking of replacing it with white glue, diluted with water and isopropyl alcohol, so I can spray it over the turf, but I am not sure this will work.

I gave it a try and it seems to work.

Here is a view of the layout the way it looks now:

The bird´s eye view shows how small the layout actually is.

Zoe, coffee and a slice of that pecan pie, please!

Have a good one!
