Athearn's was based off of what was to be the commercial version of the original Santa Fe "10 Pack Fuel Foiler" cars and handled the at the time max 45' trailers (only; no containers). Walthers was the 48' model, just a little too soon - not too long after the 53 foot trailers and the 53' spine cars to carry them followed, but nobody has yet to come out with it in HO, despite some rumblings (Detail Associates?).
