Good Afternoon/Evening! Folks must be busy getting ready for Christmas - no time to stop by for a chat among friends ... Claus came today and the two of us got the benchwork issue straightened out. Well, he did most of the work (in fact, all) [:-^] It was less of a job than we had thought it is. Just getting the old and warped tabletop off the cabinet which holds the benchwork, and replacing it with two joists bolted into the cabinet. The benchwork was than fastened to the joists with metal angles. Looks like a sturdy contraption to me now! There are even two additional benefits to this - the layout is less noisy and it is much easier to do the wiring etc. Claus also installed the small control panel I had built prior to my stay in the horsepiddle. <img src="http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv185/SirMadig/P1100306_zps8az5i2yh.jpg" alt=" " /> We did some test runs to check the layout. Claus enjoyed it very much - he told me that he bought a Fleischmann N scale starter set a few years ago and is now looking into building a small layout! I have a lengthy doctor´s appointment coming up tomorrow - just to make sure everything will be fine for the weekend. Have a good one!
