Tyco Kansas Durango engine
Posted by trainma1 on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 8:00 PM
I have a Tyco engine that is missing a small gear that should be mounted on the horizontal motor drive shaft.
Can anyone suggest a source? I don't know if it is plastic or metal[:)]

Being TYCO has been out of the train business for years now, I think your best bet would be to try to find a entire engine at a swap meet or train show. They should be able to be found for a couple of bucks.

Is that the one with the single power truck in the front? It is cheaper to buy a few dollars for a replacement engine and just move the body to a new motor and frame. You can then slowly cannabilize the old engine for parts. I think there are a million of them Tycos infecting ebay for like 90 cents
