Good Morning!

Another gray and drab, but busy day. We will behaving guest for dinner and Petra and I are really looking forward to this. We do not have many social contacts these days.

Jeff - congrats on the 15 ft. achievement - a big step forward! Btw, we call those bone dry chicken meat "Gummi-Adler", which translates into rubber eagle... [swg] Is this going to be a permanent at the Rosepine facility? If so, I hope your room will be big enough to accomodate your hobbies as well!

I decided against setting up a temporary layout and invest the money in starting to build the permanent one. Made some changes so i can use most of the track and turnouts supplied with the starter set. None of those horrid switches with their surface mounted switch motors will be visible, so the visual impact is not as bad as I originally thought. After painting, ballasting and weathering, the track will look OK, even if it is code 80 track instead of the much nicer looking Peco code 55 track. This move saves a lot of money and time!

Here is the adapted plan:

The main line is now a single track line, but that won´t change operation only very little, as I will be controlling one train at a time. I hope to be able to start construction this year and have a train running by Christmas...

Mark H - not really a promising outlook, jobwise! If moving back to PA is your dream, make it happen! You know, there are only two kind of lives one can have - a life of chance used and a life of chances missed!

Galaxy - there is a PM for you!

Make it a happy day!
