Still working on the details of what my N gauge layout will or will not be.
I learned today that N gauge is not always compact. I'm looking at a locomotive that requires a minimum 15" turn radius for viaduct track. That's bigger than a flat loop of my 027 track. Just an observation.
How much clearance do I need for an overpass, so that an N gauge train can pass over and under?
I'm trying to figure out what the grade parameters will need to be based on the minimum height I will need to get to. I went to a train store and the guy recommended not having any overpasses, but they look so nice!!
Thank you

That's excellent. Thank you!
