Im going to give you the answer, but I will also teach you how to do this yourself.
Open this as a second tab:
www.google.com
In the search bar on your other tab, type "Burlington Northern 5549".
The first result I got was rr-picture archives.net
That website says its a GE C30-7. Which I believe is correct.
Much appreciated.
I have tomorrow off and I'm going to go down to Scale Model Supply in St Paul to see if they have this green machine. Looking forward to it.
I haven't had this loco in my hand for a long long time
Thanks again
BLI made one a while back.

You can laugh at this one. It's ok:
My first train set had the Mantua Tyco ATSF Alco C-430 in the passenger red warbonnet. My dad later repainted it into the blue and yellow freight warbonnet, and I wore that engine out...
The engine I had to have, the one I incessantly bugged my Dad to get me, for Christmas of 1975, was the Mantua Tyco Illinois Central/ICG C-430 in the orange and white. It was available in either roadname. That was IT for me, lol, the one I had to have. Subsequent additional ICG units were purchased with my Christmas money from Grandparents on the day after Christmas (from English's, home of Bowser) in 1977, 1978 and 1981.
Later on, during the late 1980's and early 1990's, when I worked at Bowser, I bugged them to make an Alco C-430. Some of the employees at that time laughed at me and said it would never happen.
Many years later they received a price quote for another vendor to create the tooling, that they could not refuse, and it was made.

Thanks for the referrals. I looked for my BN locomotive on Monday, unfortunately I was unsuccessful. It's been all work and no play since then. Maybe I'll search Ebay when I have time.
John I enjoyed reading your post. My brother had an Illinois Central Gulf gp7 in ho back around 1974.
Thanks
PS. Actually I enjoyed reading everyone's post in this thread. The stories are a lot of fun. Thanks

I had one of those, too. At the time, a very neat looking engine.

Yes, still gotta love the C-430's.
Few but interesting, and interesting history...
