Does anyone know if three axel loco trucks with evenly spaced wheels say 5' 6" are available in ho?
Hello all,
I am assuming you are referring to diesel locomotive trucks.
These are know as "C" type trucks where all three axles are powered.
Some six-axle trucks only have the outer most wheels powered with the middle set non-powered idlers. These are known as "A-1-A".
While some other "C"s have an asymmetrical wheel spacing due to the placement of the center traction motor.
The symetrical axle spaced "C"s are common on SD locomotives.
As far as
Vinijackson...with evenly spaced wheels say 5' 6"...
Are you asking if the axles are spaced 5' 6" (3/4-inch actual) apart or the entire length of the truck is 5' 6" (3/4-inche actual)?
What are you using these for?
Are these replacements? What is the manufactrurer; Bachmann, Proto, Athearn, etc.?
Will these be powered or un-powered?
The more information you give the better the good folks on these forums can help.
Hope this helps.
