I had posted about a month ago. Someplace. About ML8 upgrades.   You figure some are prewar age.   With a lot still in use today.  And cheap.  I daw one for sale while researching.   5 grand upgraded in the 70s.    The old leroy  gas engine removed and newer lights and. Diesel engine installed.  With bigger compressors.    Anyway,  after I researched a bit I took my critter  and did detail changes to mimic upgrades.  New exhaust,  "New" light.  A lot.of lights were off scrapped steam.  Cheap and reddily  available.   A new paint job and light weathering. Sand dome off and a sand hatch on. Bell moved.   Air horns.    Basically all the common changes.  I posted pics in the gallery.   Anybody else doing upgraded to thiers?

A pessimist sees a dark tunnel

An optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel

A realist sees a frieght train

An engineer sees three idiots standing on the tracks stairing blankly in space

Im putting Boston and Maine decals on mine.  Thats about it.  Oh, almost forgot, putting Sergent E type couplers on it...

Edit:  Do be careful when opening package, the Plastic cover on the foam was not taped down on mine.  I ended up with a trip to the floor (no visible damage).
