These kits are battery operated using small led lights. Anybody use these? They have a micro switch that turns them off/on using a small seperate magnet attached to a plastic rod.
How long does the batteries last?
I would like to use these in my 72' passenger cars.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
They sound just like the Rapido Easy Peesey lighting kits.
I bought a handful of these. The LEDs are a yukky yellow/green and the batteries last about four hours. After a few times that I forgot to turn them off... I don't even bother with them anymore. **
Do you have a link to the Fox models ones?

I don't think Jason is supporting these anymore. His recent cars have track powered lighting.
** PM me if you want some
Good Luck, Ed
They look the same as the Rapidio but the lights are more of a white light. According to a friend the lights last much longer then before. He gave me one to experiment with Tonight After seeing my post.
Ill check it out.
Just google Fox models, they are on their web site.
I avoid any car lighting that is "battery-dependant" and requires you to remember to turn it off after you are done. Better to have interior lighting that is lit via a capacitor-based module - like the ones found in the MTH passenger cars. They stay on for nearly 5 minutes after the layout is shut-off and you don't have to fiddle with a small switch for each one.
