I have the archive too but my model railroading magazines are the only ones I don't throw out. I have MR and RMC issues going back to the late 1970s although I do have gaps when I let my subscriptions lapse. I have issues from a number of fallen flags that seemed to have had a very short life. It's nice having the archive but every once in a while when I don't feel like doing anything else I'll pull some of those old issues out and browse through them. It's a lot easier doing that than flipping through the archive. I like seeing how the hobby has changed but also the ways in which it has stayed the same. It's also interesting to see the prices of various items from back then. For the most part it seems that when you take into account inflation, things were priced about the same as they are now.
