Just enjoyed two big slices of that cake, topped with cream - yummy! [dinner] I like the sweet taste of the cherries with a tang to it. If we were in the US, selling Petra´s cakes and pies would earn us a fortune, I bet. Yet we are stuck here in this dreadful country [sigh] "Petra´s German Pastry Shop" - Home made cakes, pies and sweets. Imagine a place, stuffed with all those goodies, the sweet smell of honey, nuts, cinnamon and chocolate in it, people lining up in the street to get a whiff of that (and, of course, buy some of that) and me at an old fashioned cash register, the bell ringing constantly [C=:-)] Johboy - still no improvement on the swallowing? I was hoping you were joining the chowhounds in here by now. Keeping you in our prayers. Bear - actually, that cake is the one and only highlight of my birthday. Lots of good stuff in it, topped with a big serving of love - after being married over 30 years to me, a miracle!
