Ed, Nice photo series. Those Hulett behemoths are magnificent! The telescoping storage tank in the background looks right at home on your waterfront. Guessing that the ore boat model is a Sylvan? "Old Spice", Lol!
Thanks and regards, Peter
G PaineI remembered that I had not installed the sturrip steps (DUH - senior moment).
This afternoon, I carefully removed the paint from the corners of the cars using a paper towel with 90% alcohol; and got the sturrip steps installed. Now back to the spray booth.

Thank You, Peter!
I love heavy industrial scenes—something that is quickly becoming a rarity these days in North America and Europe.
Those gas holders have always held a fascination for me. The plant I retired from had ten of them still in use when I hired-on.
Walthers is to be commended for their efforts in recent years to bring models, such as these and the Huletts, blast furnace, rolling mills, paper mills, coal mines and others to the marketplace.
Yes, the ore boat is Sylvan. The best I could come up with. I had ordered the Big Fitz from Resin Unlimited, Jason Davis, and he ran off with my $550 and never delivered! The Bearco/Voco vacuum formed boat is not quite as detailed as I would have liked.
I still recall that Old Spice jingle. I'm still using the bottle my dad gave me in 1974!
Model Railroading IS fun!
