OK, this is my last try. 

Use the "Direct" option on the photobucket page under "SHARE THIS PHOTO". The color will change and the word "Copied" will appear. At this point, you are done with Photobucket.

Then use the "Insert/edit" button in the MR Forum post window. Looks like a mountain.

And then paste the link you copied at Photobucket into the "Source" line in the window that appears:

... and click "Ok"

Then you get this

There is a Forum Testing forum and a, How to post photos at the Model Railroader General Discussion forum also but surprised the OP having so much trouble as long as he has been here.

All I do is copy and paste the IMG link for some years.

That doesn't work for all combinations of all photo-sharing sites and all browsers, apparently.

Not very tecno savey, not even sure I was the one who posted a pic or two before, daughter could have done it for me. Last forum I really posted pics on was direct link from comp.
