Bachmann HO C&O VC12 Vanderbilt Tenders

Are they available separately? I searched so much but couldn´t find any info! Not even an item number! And the parts list on the Bachmann website doesn´t mention them too. Only the long VC16 tender seems to be available separately without loco. Am I right?

Bachmann has never sold the VC12 seperately. Peach Creek Shops did have a custom batch of them, but the owner closed his store, was operating only on the web, but is currently not "open for business".

Look in the exclusive products section.

What a bummer! Somehow weird why Bachmann only offered the bigger VC16 tender but never the VC12!

Looks like Peach Creek Shops still has some of them in stock, but as you mentioned they are still not open for business. It says that they will return sometime early in 2016, which is clearly not the case yet. Also their fb page doesn´t show any signs of activity in 2016. And there is no phone number too. Sad

By the time Bachmann came out with the H4 and tooled up the VC12, they had already started to get out of the individual tender business. I know the owner of Peach Creek, he is a big C&O guy, and was a friend of Lee Riley at Bachmann, so he had a batch made back when the first run of the H4 came out.

I would drop him an Email on his site and see if he answers.

Very regreatably John Glabb closed his shop a number of years ago, and then he passed away a year or so ago.

He is the one, along with Howard Zane that got me interested in C&O. I just could't afford, nor justify brass prices at the time, so I often bought his used plastic estate stuff. I also bought some of his close out stuff when he closed his shop,..including a few of those vandy tenders I liked so much.

He is the one that collaborated with Lee Riley to produce a lot of those C&O masterpieces in plastic,...CHEERS !
