Good Morning! What happened? This place is empty again? Did you all fell victim to that awful April fool´s joke that the place was closed for the evening? Well, today´s April 2nd, so it´s open! The last day of our Welsh tour. We will be heading back to Manchester Airport with a stopover at Welshpool for a ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway. It is a 2 1/2 ft. gauge  line, which opened in 1903. It is a 8 and a half mile run from Welshpool to Llanfair Caereinion. Passenger service terminated in 1931, but freight service continued until 1956, when the line was closed down, but not dismantled.
