Good Morning!

Happiness is ...

... having the money on our bank account, a fridge filled to the brim again, and a certain package from the US to arrive at our doorstep!

Oh joy, oh rapture! Now, all I need is my April MR to arrive [yeah]

The Bachmann loco came with a few parts off, but that´s OK. A pair of tweezers, some superglue and the desk lamp switched on took care of that. I already installed the smoke stack cap, but I am not decided, which type of headlight I want. The loco comes with a choice of three different headlights. I also need to de-install the decoder and install the jumper plugs to get it running on DC, which I will be using on my layout.

Karl - congrats on the new job. I cannot confirm Galaxy´s grief with KIA cars, over here, the have a repution for good quality. Each individual car undergoes a special control routine prior to being handed over to the customer - maybe that makes the difference.

Ray - I feel so sorry for the little girl and her parents. They are in my prayers, as anyone else in need!

Have a good one!

Edit: As I will start to make drawings of the buildings on my layout, I need some input onmeasurements:

What is a typical height from floor to ceiling in a 1880 building?

How big would a typical door and window be?

How thick are clapboards?

Anybody around here who could give me the proper input?
