In the day of steam on the ATSF, their locos weren't a true black as on today's 3751. The color of the model is closer to accurate. The 3751 is painted with an epoxy based paint that is actually black. The original letter was silver not white, although the ATSF experimented with white for lettering and numbers, but was only applied to several steam engines. <br />Ch
