These were first announced in the fall of 2005 (from Precision Craft Models, aka BLI) I hope ten years is worth the wait!

Just an FYI for those interested, Ed

If these are the locos described in the BLI 2015 product guide that showed up at my house today, they are supposed to have the "new Paragon 3 Sound & Operation System Featuring Rolling Thunder".

BLI describes this as a system that is capable of transmitting a wireless signal to a separate, under the layout, subwoofer.

Oh how I wish I could justify buying the Monongahela railway sharks. You gotta wonder if BLI could upgrade the paragon 2 up to 3.

gmpullman - Just wanted to thank you for your post. I clicked on the link & was able to snatch up the last PRR 2008 A&B units that were in stock. I'm a happy person right now. I almost shot myself in the foot again by waiting to long.

Tom,

Glad you got your "prize"! I've had an A-B-A set preordered at Factory Direct Trains for at least four years! One advantage of the "preorder folly" is that I was locked in to the price at that time so I saved $60 on the deal.

I almost bought a pair of B&O A-As when I posted that link but decided to back out until I actually run the NYC ones and check out their details first. They must have sold out fast!

Good luck with your Pennsy Sharks! Ed

gmpullman - I usually "pre-order" if it's something I'm really interested in, but for some reason I just didn't get around to it with these guys. I kind of thought that there might be a lot of interest in them and that they wouldn't be in stock long, and they weren't. I'll bet your A-B-A set will look really nice.
