just a thought, but couldn't you either epoxy the large hole in the bolster, and then drill it out to be the correct diameter opening you need? If I understand you correctly, you could then use a countersunk screw head so the screw wouldn't be visible and/or hang down to low. <br />Also, you should be able to locate correct trucks made in brass, but they'll set you back a bunch. Doesn't Kadee make an appropriate truck?
