Realistic Non-Working Signals in HO?
Posted by kbneis on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 5:09 PM

Does anyone know of any decent non-working signal models in HO?  I think Tomar and BLMA make some nice working models, and then there are those old black plastic things that aren't very realistic.  Can someone please help?  TIA.

Non working as in you don't want them to light at all?

Oregon Rail Supply makes several styles of plastic signal heads. They also offer a 2 or four track signal bridge that comes with non-working heads but I have wired them using small axial LEDs with great results.

their website is a bit outdated but Walthers and several other retailers handle their products.

This is their two track bridge with position light signals that I added my own LEDs to. They also sell kits with the LEDs supplied. You can make trackside signals with their parts and brass tubing.

Many of the other non-working signals available are just too toy like for my tastes.

Have fun! Ed
