Pathfinder,
Those premium booklets are intended as enticements to get first-time readers to pick up the magazine on the newsstand. But their contents are almost entirely made up of articles that have already been printed in the magazine. If you're a subscriber, you likely already have the material in the premium booklets.

Was the planning booklet inside the magazine (like RMC's bonus booklets tend to be), or was it included in a plastic wrapper around the magazine.I did not receive any such booklet, and I am a long term subscriber, so perhaps it was an newsstand sales only promotion.ETA: I see the question was already answered while I stepped away for a moment before submitting. Oh well, at least I guessed right.

Thanks for the clarification, although in my case I can not recall reading any of the articles in the January booklet.
Cheers,
