Good Morning! Flo, just coffee for me - I ate too much for dinner last night! It was good to have a chance to say goodbye to Dad. It was not much of a ceremony - just my brother and his GF, Christian, Petra and I. We lit 86 small candles for each of Dad´s years and a big one for his last journey. We had time for our thoughts and tears, with no one disturbing us. Later on, we went to the church in my hometown, where we had a moment for our silent prayers, accompanied by soft organ music. Given the bad circumstances, there was a lot of simple beauty in our farewell. My brother invited us for dinner and we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant. We were seated at a table a little separate from the rest, so we could talk freely. When the proprietors learned about our loss, they decorated our table with white lilies - the Chinese flower of mourning. What a kind gesture! Whenever He decides to close a door, He opens another one. My brother and I were able to put all those issues to rest which had been dividing us in the past years. We are much more of a family than we have ever been before. Blessings to all of you!
