Tough198; do you already have the locomtives and cars you're going to be using ? If so, can you put about 8 feet of straight track on a board inside ? If so, you can test your equipment by blocking up one end of the board...each 1" you block up one end will equal about 1%. If you want to be exact, make it a 100" board. <br />Put the grade up until the wheels slip, then drop it down at least one inch. My guess is that you don't attain 7% unless you have specially weighted locomotives, but I could easily be wrong. <br />Good luck / regards / Mike
