Lunchtime! I´ll go for a slice of that deliciously looking pizza, Flo, and a mug of strong coffee, please. My parents have been terrorizing me all morning - 12 calls. My Mom has lost all the money they took with them, a suitcase is missing and numerous other little things, like where is the paper for the printer. It´s all there, but she is so confused that she does not find anything. I will go there in an hour, not only to "find" all those missing things, but to set a few things straight. I am not going to tolerate this any longer - period. Unless both accept were they are now and issue the necessary power of attorney to me to handle their business in their best interest, I won´t be responding to these emergency calls - period. I don´t know why I am helping my parents the way I do. They have never been the loving and caring parents they should have been. No wonder I felt so comfortable with my guest parents during my year in the US. They had "adopted" me in the best sense of this word. I still am very much attached to my guest mother and miss my guest father, who died almost 20 years ago. I am just glad I seem to be a better parent to my son.
