Tie Spacing for Handlaid Track

I'm looking for information on ATSF tie spacing practices c. 1960. Main line, branch line, yard, siding and spur?

bernard: I am unfortunately unable to advise you on ATSF practices but I made a jig for my handlaying of ties. I measured our main line railroad and it comes very close to what is put out in the comercial track: center tie to center tie: between four and five sixteenth's apart, One side of the top of the jig is measured 4/16th inches, or 1/4 inch, for regular tie spacing. Directly opposite this jig I put another one down for yards. Again I was down where there is a spur track, measured it out, and I placed my spacing on my jig to be 7/16th's apart, center tie to center tie. For bridge ties I use Campbell's guide that they provideed with their ties. My jig is about six by three inches and made out of wood, I find this a good size rather than trying to handle long strips of tape.
