Good Morning Gang!

The night brought us another 6" of snow. While I like the looks of it, I hate to be on the road. Our community does little to none to keep the roads clear. I am just grateful that we cancelled today´s visit to Petra´s aunt and uncle.

I did not sleep well last night, just too many "heavy" thoughts in my head. I am really worried about my parents´ well being, yet there is nothing I can do. All my life I was the one to lend a helping hand for the family. When my older brother was out of a job, I paid his rent for nearly a year. When Petra´s grandfather died, her grandmother was left with a pension that would not sustain her life - so I chipped in and topped it off for nearly 10 years. When my MIL´s car broke down and she could not afford to buy one, I bought it for her and when my BIL`s business ailed, I paid his food bills. But why isn´t anybody around when I need help? I know I should not be having these thoughts, but somehow I feel wasted right now. I wish there´d be someone around to share the burden with Petra and me.

My brother never calls. He just bought a new house (paid it in cash!), but I would not even know his address, if my father had not given it to me. He never calls, never asks how we are doing.

Sorry for ranting, I didn´t mean to. It´s just that I am tired, doggone tired.

Zoe, hot chocolate and a cinnamon roll, please. Maybe that´ll cheer me up.

Have a good day!
