I saw the pic by clicking link. Store your pic to an online album. right Click the pic, then click on "properties". copy the properties, then paste them here with "" behind. Give that a try.

email me at jjgp@hickorytech.net with any questions and Ill try help out. I saw it wouldn't let me explain well in text.

OK lets give this a whirl

To post an image from a site you have to put the initials IMG enclosed in [ ] before the photo's Address http://www.geocities.com/csx1979/mow5.JPG and then /IMG enclosed in [ ] after the address.

Hope this helps

What an interesting layout. It looks like there's plenty of action and operating fun, with interesting industries. I like your MOW equipment, too. Wanted to let you know, though, that you have a broken link to an image: the photo of your SD-40.

Glad you got the site fixed!

QUOTE: FAILURE !!!

Okay, stay calm, we can walk you through this.....

First, where is the picture you are trying to post located (what picture hosting site)?

Second, can you provide the address of the picture? (If you right click on the picture on the hosting site, then click on 'properties', you should get a gray info block that contains, among other things, the address of the photo.).

Once we have that we can easily have you up and posting in no time.

Regards

Ed

Budliner...is this what you're trying to post?

Some webhosting services won't let you remote link your pics. What ISP do you have? Do they give you web space with your subscription? If so, upload your pics to your own web space, and link to that.

I'm not sure what is wrong Budliner...did you bracket your url with the "bracket img bracket" ?

It is easy, once you figure out how!

I'll admit, it took me a bit to figure it out, but once I did....well, there's nothing to it!

I use Fotki.com to store my pictures. Just substitute your stored pictures properties for the Fotki information I use.

You may have reached the max on your accounts at Yahoo, which may be why you can't post. Give www.RailImages.com a try. It takes a day or two for the site operator to set you up, but it's another 'no charge place' to post pictures, then you can link from there into this forum real easy.
Like this:

This photo is from the OMRS photos on Railimage. Right click on the image and then click on Properties and you can see the 'full path' to your picture. This path MUST be inside the (img)....(/img) brackets for the photo to properly display. Don't use '( )' like I did in the previous sentence. You must use '[ ]' braces around the img and /img tags.

My humble suggestion is to use Photobucket for pics on the web. http://www.photobucket.com

You can sign up free and when you post a pic to the site, it formats your pictures three ways, including one that will post directly to this forum. You don't have to put in a bunch of [ { { }} ] ] { { or anything else. Just chose the format you want and post it!

Couldn't be easier for us computer-challenged types!! LOL
