Great stuff guys! There is a very great deal of modeling talent displayed on WPF this week.

Here is a photo from the BRVRR website:

NYC RS-32 #8038 meets NYC GP-40 #3083 as they pass near the Grafton Tower on the Black River Valley layout.  I love the sound of ALCO engines. They bring back a lot of memories for me.

Keep up the good work everyone. Your efforts make WPF the best thread of the week, every week!

I've been upgrading an ugly duckling.

If you want to do any in B&M or MEC, Microscale has a set for this

Garry,

I love my steam, except when it's being crankySurprise Mostly, it runs great now, but there's always something changing with a steamer you usually don't have with diesels.

I think THAT is what's killing the hobby -- not enough time off.SighYeah --------------------------- Mike, I am afraid is does not work that way. I am retired, so logically I should have a lot of time for the layout. In actual fact, things in real life seem to intrude on my model RR time.

George,

All too true from what I hear. I think we Americans are so deeply indoctrinated with the "Must be Doing Something" syndrome, we forget to set aside time for ourselves to recharge. Kind of like savings, it's an investment in the future to rest and reflect on what's been accomplished then recharge.

Mr. B,

Lots more outstanding work, everyone!Thumbs UpYes

Chad,

Nice work on that caboose. Almost looks WP&Y-ish in the pic with the diesel.Smile, Wink & Grin

Grande Valley Railway SD40-3-Catt on her first road trip after leaving the MTS rebuild shops. She's making a short trip from the GVR yard to the Grand Rapids Eastern yard with two full grain hoppers for the elevator in Lowell,MI.

Actually she's posing on my soon to be scrapped HO diorama.
