I have the USRA Light Pacific, seems to run fine, and the traction tires are a plus. Sound is good, I have had no major issues with mine. Clean wheels and track are an absolute must when running in DCC. Details are okay, but like it says in the description they are in fact generic USRA locomotives built to the specs and not road specific. Also lack of a smoke generator was a let down.
I have two of them, one 2-8-2 Light Mikado and one EMD NW2. I am pleased with both of them. Good slow speed on both and I like the sounds. As I am not an expert on prototypical sounds, I can't say they are right for each type of locomotive but i like them.
I had an slight issue with the headlight on the Mike and BLI offered to replace the decoder free of charge. Great support.
I would certainly buy any new BLI locomotive that fit my RR and era.

I have nine broadway Limited locomotives, (5) steam and (4) diesels, and all of them run like swiss watches. I have never had any problems with any of them and they all turned out to be great pullers once properly broken in.
I have 4 steamers from BLI. One developed a decoder fault, I emailed BLI with the symptoms annd they posted me a new decoder to the UK without question. It didn't arrive so they sent me another, again without question. All they asked was that I sent the old one back. Both new decoders arrived on the same day. I changed decoder and returned tbe other two. I have had no other trouble with my BLI locomotives, they are my best and smoothest runners.

I have several P2's and like them very much. As stated maybe not the best sound but still very good. Just got a 2-8-8-2 yesterday Plan to Double head behind my "P2" 2-6-6-4
