'Messages' actually highlights now!
Posted by hon30critter on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 12:19 AM

I doubt that I am the first to discover this, but I just noticed that the  'Messages' heading in my personal account details actually turned red when there was a new message posted for me to read!

Thank you Kalmbach!

Dave,

Was there only one message, or more than one message?  Although this was several months ago, the only time that "Messages" turned red was when there was more than one message.  Just curious...

AH HA!

There were two messages!

Guess I was a bit premature in thanking Kalmbach eh?!

Here I had my hopes up that they had actually solved the problem.

Oh well....

I had four messages and nothing was lit up for me. "Messages" was still gray. But your note did remind me to check my mailWinkBow

Once I looked at teh first message, then Messages turned red. But just then, as it went back to gray. Maybe they do have it up on blocks and are working on it right now?

Mike:

Now that I think about it, I don't think the 'Messages' heading turned red until after I looked at the first of the two messages.

I truly hope they do have it "up on blocks". It is embarassing when you miss a message that someone has taken the time to write to you personally. I do have them set to show up in my e-mail, supposedly anyhow. Let's hope that is working properly at least.

My guess is that Kalmbach hasn't done much with it since the original rollout and probably won't at this point.  I just get into a habit of checking my PMs once a day or whenever I'm on the forum.

Also, are the post counts now not working?  It seems I've been on the same number for a week or two now.

[Edit: Never mind.  Right after I posted this it changed Confused]

Tom, a lot of your messages are offensive, so they are being constantly deleted by the moderators.  That's why your post count goes down, not up.   Laugh

Rich,

I don't have any PM's from You. Last PM I got was yesterday, from Maxman. I usually get My PM's on My E-mail first, that way I know I have a PM. That msg. thing for me has never worked with this new software. Only the old version. Send me a E-mail. Some people in the diner last week said they were not getting PM's either.
