Good Morning Folks!

Our weather is back to normal, which means it is a lot cooler now and wet - just in time for the weekend. We are invited to a BBQ at a friend´s place on Saturday, but I doubt that this will take place.

Garry - the post count is back, just swipe over those red stars and you see how many posts the contributor has. The location is still missing - I am sure it´ll be back soon.

Curt - in pre-WW I times, the various state railroads in Germany all had their own paint schemes, which wee nearly as colorful as in Britain. In 1920 all these railways were merged into Deutsche Reichsbahn and the locos received a uniform paint job with wheels, frame and front/end beams in red, all other parts in black. Red was chosen to alert people of moving parts, not to detect oil leaks more easily. After a few days of hard service, the red was more into a brown anyway.

Today, I will be busy learning how to use Templot, a turnout design software based on prototype dimensions and relations. It is not a track planning tool, but can be employed as such if you intend to hand-lay your track. However, there is a tremendous learning curve to that software.

Have a good one!
