need help indifying maker of train car
Posted by traintravler on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 9:57 PM

Hi everyone,

I was at one of the local thrift stores today and noticed someone donated some train things.   One of the things they did up was a group of 4 model power items in original boxes (a chasis engine, a cabose, and 2 cars) and had a pretty good price, but didnt get. Might pick up payday if still there. Also had a log hauler car in original box but looked cheesy looking.

The 1 thing i did get was the one that that had 14 or 16 pieces of nickel silver track with a bridge crossing and a really nice looking (looks new) Burlington oil tanker (with road #130047burlington route small lettering/numbers). Its made in Lima Itily. I would say its a 50 or 60 foot car if it helps.  Does anyone know made it?  I cant find a maker on it at all.  I paid $5.30 for the track, car and the couple other misc in the package.

Thanks for the help

The name of the manufacturer was actually Lima.Smile I think Hornby owns them now.

Made in italy by LIMA.

Importer AHM  (Associated Hobby Manufacturers)  Also imported by Model Power

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.
