I thought that I would share this info, for those who would like to scratch build, or bash their own Vehicles for any Railroad layout in 1/87 scale:

The 1-87 Vehicle club gets mentioned quite often on this site, mostly because it's a really good and useful website.
Actually Model Railroader already lists it (with many other useful groups) under Model Railroader Groups in the Resource section, which I had forgotten about till this thread - pretty useful section, I wonder if MR can somehow emphasize it more?

Chutton01,

There is even a better one, but I did not know if I could post it. Could be considered a conflict of interest. I subscribe to it and my opinion it is excellant, for 30's to present of all trucks and truck lines. scratch builders, bashers delight. If your interested PM me.

"There is even a better one, but I did not know if I could post it. "*

Is it one of the 87scale vehicle Yahoo groups?

*Add quote to post button in reply seems uninterested in working...

Chutton01,

No it has nothing to do with Yahoo groups. It's a magazine, called Model Freightways.

Centered around Trucks, trailers, loads for same and past truck lines, scratch built and kit bashed.

Frank

EDIT: Just sent you a PM with the link

(Grrrr...I give up on the dang "Add Quote to Your Post" button).

You didn't have to PM, you just gave the name and it was a simple search to find the Model Freightways magazine website.
Judging from the sample covers, looks like a pretty decent magazine - I doubt MR would have a problem with posting a link to it. Reminds me 10+ years back, the mid-nulls (2002/2003/2004) IIRC it was Mainline Modeler who used to do a HO scale vehicle modeling supplement in the spring issue - kind of my introduction to the fact that you could do some serious vehicle modeling beyound just repainting and gluing some Details Assoc. flashing becons to the roof (which I did to some trident chevy pickups in the late 1990s - I was cutting edge back in the day Stick out tongue).  1-87 Vehicle club was probably still in the single digits with it's galleries at that time. Oh well...

I'm pretty sure that it was Model Railroading, not Mainline Modeller.  Model Railroading also did a number of articles on bashing trailer models.  A number of these articles were done by Gary Walton.

Chutton01,

Thanks for posting the Link, I was going to do that today, before I read your post. I believe there is no harm in sharing, others may be interested. I have been a subcriber from the get go and I believe it is a pretty good Mag. I am a retired teamster, so that would explain my love for Trucks and Trains.
