They Have Finally Arrived!
After waiting more than a year and a half the Athearn RTR DM&E SD40-2s are finally here! I have unit 6361 on order and I just got 6359 Mount Rushmore from a local hobby shop. They actually turned out better than I expected and look very good for a RTR locomotive. They come with some fuel tank details that you can add on to the fuel tank. It has MU hoses on each end and snowplows on each end. It has sliding cab windows. The main problem is that the paint on the end of the handrails was put on badly and will chip off if you touch it. Overall, it looks pretty good!
