Okay am I crazy or am I missing something ? When I first started looking through this thread I saw a post from Jeffrie - I was so startled that I almost fell out of my chair ! He passed away a few months back ! Then I looked at the orginial post and it is dated 2013! How did that happen ?  A new post with an old post and it has 2013 date !

Dave,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I'm new to this forum and to this website. I'll have to learn the ropes to go around this site.

As for the locomotives, I'm referring to the Bangor and Aroostook locomotives in the post by AVRNUT. I'm trying to find both Boston and Maine, Maine Central, and Bangor and Aroostook diesel locomotives. So far in my internet search, they are hard to find and they tend to be out of stock. I only have one Boston and Maine diesel locomotive. I want to build a nice set of those locomotives. Would you have a suggestion where I might find them? I'm into N scale railroading.

Please let me know what I can do to do this better. I want to start a hobby into this!

Scott

It's hard being a BAR modeler unless you like to paint your own equipment.  Most of the locomotive runs have been small and are all long out of production.  Below are 3 of my favorate locos, 2 regular GP7's and a GP7u.  Then my absolutely favorite, my kitbashed shay.

No way I can pick just one.  My first brass loco was a PFM PRR L1s 2-8-2.  That one is kind of special.  B&O EM-1's by Challenger and Key.  They're definitely special.  Other very special engines are B&O 2-8-0's by Lambert, PFM, and Sundancer;  Railworks PRR H6sb and L1s.  Challenger PRR M1 4-8-2;  W&R NKP (W&LE) 0-8-0.  Those are some of the favorites.  I've collected a lot of equipment over the years.  That's one of the perks of getting old.

I love ALCOs, so -

BLI RSD-15

Atlas RSD-4/5

P2K PA/B-1s & FA/B-1s

Atlas HH-660

I also have one steam loco, a NWSL 70-ton Logging Mikado - best brass runner ever.
