Been along time.
Posted by Paul W. Beverung on Sunday, June 9, 2013 9:55 PM

Hello to everyone. I'll bet there aren't many of you who remember me. I'm in north Texas and doing HO and 7.5" gauge live steam. It's been a couple of years since I've been here. I retired in Feb. '07 and am working harder now then ever. We are running cattle and doing contract haying. Never a dull moment.

I got myself a Digi Trax system and am in the process of getting it set up and running. I'm still doing an ore hauling road in northern Michigan. I figured that when I got 300 ore cars I'd be set. Wrong! I could use another 300. Come on Walthers and get them back.

Ulrich I'm pulling for you. I've been lucky in the family way both mine and my wife's.

Dennis the rocks look very good. I'll be doing a lot of the one of these days. I made a bunch of molds in RTV.

Jeff: Take care of yourself.  The F3s look good. I've got three of Varney metal ones in the box. Battered but clean.

Well I'll try and stop by from now and then.

Good Night All

Hello Paul. Good to see you back. Thanks for the compliment on the F3's. I intend to build another one as soon as I can get another metal Varney body and the parts to build a drive.

I hope you're enjoying the Digitrax system. I use a Digitrax Zephyr DCS50 and find it easy to use and understand.

It's nice to see that you're still doing an ore hauling railroad. I expect to see photos. I wish I had some of my coal hauling railroad I did in the 80's.

Paul, great to see you around again! I'd second the question about how your cattle are doing (and I take it from your Digitrax mention, that you found your 'inside' layout, yes? - Either that, or Digitrax has some large scale decoders...) Smile, Wink & Grin Take care of yourself and Mary Ann, and don't be a stranger here. Thumbs Up

You've piqued my interest. I left you a message this morning. Check your PM's.
