Good Morning All,
Another cloudy day out here on Long Island. Special thanks to all who took time to acknowledge my arrival in the coffee shop and current plight which is No Layout, and No Trains to run due to our family move from NY to Ga.
As a reply to some of your postings, The Late New York Central & Eastern was housed in a 10x18 shed that featured vinyl siding and architural roofing to match the house. The walls were insulated, sheetrocked and finished by a professional spackler. To call it a shed was not doing justice to it, although it was a just a shed. The Train Shed as it became known to friends and family was a refuge for model railroaders and a must see for all who visited. The Train Shed is now resting comfortably in the Town Landfill as it would have required a building code variance to remain on the property and the delay with getting this done would have severely delayed our move. The trains, buildings and some track were saved. The layout benchwork work is also in the landfill.
So here I sit, No Shed and No Trains, just you guys as my link to the great world of model railroading. Thanks for taking the time to encourage me on my move to a basement with a house above it.
Talk to you Soon, John
