Freight pilots for HO E-units
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, February 10, 2002 12:52 PM
Does anyone know a source (other than expensive
brass...) for replacement freight pilots for
passenger-pilot equipped E-units? I have painted
some E-units in HO for New England (and CPR)
units, and they should all have freight-type pilots. Proto2000 E-units came with removable pilots, and I wonder if they are available separately. Also, they had some plastic piping on
the roofs, which I could use for F-units.

I do not know of any commercial pilot castings, but how about removing one from an Athearn F7A? The shells are relatively inexpensive.
