Summer has now officially started!

Well, the sun´s out, though it is not really warm outside. Temperatures will hardly top 18°C today. A low pressure zone over the British Isles will take care of summer in the next days, meaning lots of [um] to come.

Chloe, just coffee, please.

Mail box update:

The package is now at Soltau, which is only 25 miles away from my place. If the customs people put it back into the mailing process after my call yesterday, it should arrive today or tomorrow latest! That´d be great, as Petra and I will most likely go to see my parents on Thursday for their 60th wedding anniversary. I am not sure whether my mother will be able to celebrate this, but at least we want to spend an hour or so with them.

Ken - chances are pretty good that either Karl or Fritz is a model railroader himself. Model railroading is much more an accepted hobby here in Germany than in the US. Latest figures show, that we have about 6 million folks being a member in a model railroading club of some sort - that´s roughly 8 % of our population. Fritz will most likely say "Hey, look Karl, what kind of cool scenic materials they have in the US!"

On the work front, Ken, I am hoping that business will pick up again.

Galaxy - still keeping my fingers crossed for your house hunt!

Stan - you must be w*riking 24/7 on those paintings! I am amazed how fast you are! And your paintings are so atmospheric - I can really hear the sound of a working steamer when looking at them.

[bow][bow][bow]

Garry - Dieter´s death came totally unexpected. He was a tall, lean man, who exercised a lot, did not smoke or drink. He is leaving two sons and 4 grandchildren behind.

Barry - those GMD 1´s were ugly beasts, weren´t they? So ugly one could call them almost pretty [swg]

Chris - have you joined the MRAA? That´s the Model Railroaders Anonymous of America?

My name is Ulrich, and I am an iNsane scale modeler.

Y´ all have a good one!

Btw - have not seen Jerry around for some time!
