Now many of you on here probably know this already but I was amazed to find out today that the cell phone provider Sprint was actually born out of the Southern Pacific Railroad, Sprint actually standing for 'Southern Pacific Railroad Interconntinental Network Telecommunications'.

 Yup, perfect place to telecommunications lines - narrow strip of right of way, running generally the shortest distance between two cities. Ready made for a spinoff business.

And SPeaking in fun....
Perhaps that explaind the familliar sound I could not explain until now.....
When I accedently up throttled an SP U50 nonsound, down my switch ladder & it made a familliar noise I could not place just then...
Yes...,  It was a No-Service Fast Busy signal noise, as those quad trucks hit those frogs, quite rapidly....
Yes that was it!

Thanks for solving the mystery!!!

And again, I am just kidding, but I can probably DO that.. Ha hah...
