HO Scale PCCs
Posted by JuanCarlosFdez on Thursday, June 21, 2012 4:31 PM

I'm looking at getting an HO-scale PCC or two...  Any comments regarding the Bowser vs. Con-Cor renditions?

Well, the Con-Cor will have a sound option.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Kind of depends what prototype you want.

The Con-Cor models have tall, modern windows on the sides, the Bowser models have the separate upper and lower windows.

Different cities/eras used different cars.

I've seen the Bowser cars run and they seem very smooth and have nice lighting.

I think both are/were available with DCC.

  • Con-Cor => Pre-War PCC without "standee" windows.
  • Bowser => Post-War PCC with "standee" windows.

Pittsburgh used both PCC designs. Johnstown preferred the "standee" PCC..
