I recommend you get a copy of the book by Atlas called 'How to Wire your Model Railroad with Atlas Electrical Components' first and read it. It is a wonderful introductory lesson on 'two rail wiring. After that, I would pick up one of the books from the Model Railroader collection. I have a good bok called 'How to wire your Layout' or 'Basic Model Railroad Wiring' or something like that. I know this is an exciting time for you, but take your time and read about it before you commit yourself to the labor. Good Luck. - Ed
