New here!!!!
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, August 23, 2004 11:46 AM
Hi, I am new to these forums, but have been into modelrailroading all of my life. At the moment I have a 3 by 9 N scale layout (it's small due to lack of space). I model Conrail and Chessie in the mid 80's. I also am looking for some more Chessie photo's from around ohio, so if you can help let me know.
If any one has any Atlas/Kato Chessie engine's for sale I would also be interested, so drop me a line. My e-amil is LordEquimanthorn@netscape.net

I have only been on here a month and have gained an immeasurable amount of new ideas and help with existing problems. Wish I new about this a year ago when I started my layout!

BTW, there is a trains show this Sunday, 8-29-04, in Parma at the UAW hall on Chevy blvd. It's an all gauge show. I think it's 10:00 am to 4:00pm ?

You may be able to find what you are looking for there.

Hello my name is Andrew and welcome to the forum Justin. www.rr-fallenflags.org is my favourite site. It has almost everything and the common stuff like the Chessie System, is full of great photos of rollingstock, locomotives and even buildings sometimes among other things.

[#ditto] Welcome I'm glad to see another ohio modeler on the forum, and one that has picked two of my favorite lines to model. Here's two sites that may help you.
http://www.trainweb.org/chessiephotos/
Try www.railpictures.net and put in chessie in ohio you get about four pages of pics.
www.chessiesystem.org
here's a chessie model railroadpage.

Hope this helps.

Modular railroading at its best!
If it has an X in it, it sucks! And yes, I just had my modeler's license renewed last week!

Thanks for the info. :)
Most of these site's are great, and I did find some good photo's, but still could use a little help on info about Lorain Ohio's Chessie/CSX branch, which to this day is barley used...
I never really had a chance to watch trains out there when I was younger.
I do have a lot of pic's of conrail in berea ohio between 89-99 if any one is interested. I just need to fix my scanner.
