Good Afternoon Gang,

the death toll of the train wreck has risen to 11 people now, and a number of the injured are still in a very serious condition. The reason for the accident is believed to be a malfunctioning signal, allowing the freight train to enter the single line main already occupied by the passenger train. The freight train´s engineer is among the survivors, but cannot be interrogated by now.

Zoe, just a mug of hot chocolate, please. It is icy cold outside, "freezing fog".

Ken - I am sorry to hear that you may eventually lose your house. We have just been through that experience and I can tell you that it takes a lot of water flowing down the Shenandoah River to come over this. The apartment I owned is right now going into foreclosure, but once that´s done, I´ll be over it. Actually, I feel much more relieved now the whole thing is coming to an end. But I´ll keep you and your family in my [angel] for a turn to the better!

I finished my "benchwork" for the first set of modules today - put ´em together, sanded them, painted them. Petra is complaining about the odor, but it´ll be gone by tomorrow. I did the actual painting in our attic, but it is too cold up there to leave them for drying.

Here are some pics:

Hard to believe that eventually they will look like this:

Each module is just 12" by 6"!

I also took some more pics of my Japanese beauty queen, just to be able to enjoy the detail. N scale is so small, I can´t savor it without the help of magnifying glasses - or pictures.

Have a good one, y´ all!
