Good Morning All:

Flip:
My prayers are with you and Deb. I sure hope everything goes well under the knife.

***:
I like to hear about the players being interested on the community as a lot of them aren't. Troy Akiman and Emmit Smith are two of the Dallas Cowboys that come to mind as giving back to the community. Warren Moon has the Warren Moon Foundation in Houston that helps underpriviladge kids get money to go to college. No one knows how maney kids he has supported in this way. It's not something that he brags about, he just does it (good old Niki statement).

Rob:
I'm not a DCC guru but did you catch my answer to your question about overhead wires?

Phil:
I assume, since you have been to Savannah before that you've been to the old C of G roundhouse and museum. It was enjoyable - took me 6 to 7 hours to look at everything. That was a major loco building and re-building facility. Can you imagine how much soot and grime was all over the "gloryious" town when that shop was in operation? The river street rambler was one of the things I wanted to see but I was about 4 months late.

Tim:
Remember what Dave said about going to the casino in Biloxi - He didn't lose any money, he knew where it was, they just wouldn't give it back.

Tom:
I've been very sucessful at using the Atlas track and the Walthers switches and not having to use the shims. There is a very slight difference in the track but so far NO derailments and I'm the only one that sees the cars move. I've also been sucessful at going from code 100 to 83 and from code 83 to 70 using only the rail jointer and solder. I thought I was the only one doing this until I read this months editorial in MR and Terry Thompson (the editor) did it too.

In you bathroom project I hope you are using a one piece linoleum for the floor as the 12" squares will let water (when the toilet overflows) down into the plywood floor and eventually mess (no pun intended) up the plywood. When we were doing our bathrooms in this house that's what the plumbing dept head told us to use. I was very glad that it was a small room as Stephanie's taste was very expensive. She wanted, and got, linoleum that was the best grade for high traffic areas as that was the only pattern that she liked. Who cares, I'm not in there that long, but she has several mags and a couple of books in the drawer. I kidded her about putting in a padded toilet seat for her.
QUOTE:
Your making excellent progress on your home project Tom, I have de-installed and re-installed about 5 toilet over my home owner lifespan.....crappy job
Ya'll have a blessed day and remember SANTA FE ALL THE WAY
Bob
